Courses and guidance

We offer local courses in English on PubMed and EndNote, as well as courses in information skills and academic writing for  PhD candidates and researchers. The courses are mainly intended for students and staff at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and St.Olavs Hospital. All the courses are held in KS21, 2nd floor at the Knowledge Center at St. Olavs Hospital , but some courses also offer digital participation in Zoom for participants located in Ålesund and Gjøvik.

It is necessary to sign up for the courses.

It is possible to get drop-in help every Thursday between 14.00 and 15.00 in Søkestua.

The NTNU Library also offers several open, digital courses in The Virtual Library.

Courses in English Spring 2024

The library is in charge of the new obligatory PhD-course SMED8007 – Scientific Publishing and Research Communication (5 study points) Spring 2024.

Participants: Researchers, PhD-students, physicians, hospital and faculty staff and master students who wants to learn to search for literature within medicine and health in an effective way.

Unfortunately, we do not have capacity to offer individual training in EndNote.
