Studentresponssystemer (SRS) er interaktiv teknologi som gjør det mulig å stille spørsmål, samle inn svar—ved at studentene «klikker» på et alternativ—og vise svarfordelingen på en skjerm i sanntid.
I denne artikkelen gjør vi rede for hvordan og i hvilken grad vi selv har lyktes med omfattende bruk av SRS-teknologi i matematikkundervisning for ingeniørstudenter i første semester.
Hvordan, gjennom å presentere noen trekk ved en mulig bestepraksis for bruk av SRS-teknologi, og våre spede forsøk på å etterleve disse prinsippene i praksis.
I hvilken grad, ved å legge frem resultater fra to spørreundersøkelser (N=594 og N=530). Disse viser først og fremst at studentene er overstrømmende positive til vår bruk av SRS: De rapporterer at teknologien hjelper dem å lære, og de foretrekker helt klart å klikke på forelesning hvis alternativet er mer formidling fra underviseren.
Undersøkelsene indikerer dessuten noen positive effekter vi ikke hadde forutsett: Bruken av SRS viser seg også å påvirke både studentenes forhold til hverandre og deres motivasjon for i det hele tatt å møte opp til forelesning.
De to spørreundersøkelsene og en spørsmålsbank for undervisning med SRS er lastet opp som vedlegg til manuskriptet.
