Exciting news:
The registration for the AFINO International Conference in August is open. And at our conference website you will also find a tentative program.

Vincent Blok will be one of the speakers at the AFINO conference. He is a Dutch philosopher working as professor at the Wageningen University.

Program and speakers
So far 10 speakers have accepted the invitation to contribute at the plenary sessions at the conference. We will make sure to give them a proper introduction quite soon, but for now you will see names and what sessions they will join in.

We hope it is just as engaging to hear the topic selected for each session. As revealed earlier, the main topic for the conference is: “Transformative research and innovation”. The titles for the plenary sessions are aligned with this:

  • CSR and RRI – past, present and future
  • Technologies for the good life
  • Transdisciplinarity, foresight, and the science-policy interface
  • Responsible AI, machine learning and autonomous systems

Ahead, the program will be more extended with details about parallel sessions, workshops, more contributors etc.

Venue: Soria Moria Hotel, Oslo
Updated information at the conference website

Open registration
The registration to the conference opened early March and we are happy to see that the first participants have registered. You will find all details about registration, prizes, venue, hotel booking etc. at our conference website.
A good tip is to make sure you register before 1st June. Until then, there are early bird prizes.

Easy access
We are pleased that Soria Moria Hotell in Oslo (photos from the hotel featured in the top) will be the venue for the AFINO conference. In addition to good and suitable facilities, the hotel is easy accesible with public transportation.
And of course we like the location at the “top” of Oslo, with a stunning view over the city and the Oslo Fjord. Read more about the conference venue here.
