The Fauna of British India
Arachnida
by
Reginald Innes Pocock
1900
(Available in fulltext.)

Here is an electronic version of Pocock's book on indian arachnids (including Ceylon (= Sri Lanka) and Burma), in fulltext on The Scorpion Files. I'm grateful to computer wizard Knut J. Petersen (Computer Dept., University Library in Trondheim) for help and advices during the scanning process.

The book is split into several files to avoid too large file sizes. The files are in pdf-format, and you need an Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer to be able to download the book. This program can be downloaded for free (click on button below).

The quality of the book is poor in some places. It is possible to use the zoom-in/zoom-out function in the Adobe Reader to enhance the size of the letters (and figures), and therby improve the quality.

The digital edition of Pocock's Fauna of India is available for personal use only, and no reproduction (printed or digital) of the whole book or part of the book is permitted. The digital edition of Pocock's Fauna of India is copyrighted by Jan Ove Rein, The Scorpion Files.
