Användningen av och efterfrågan på AI-baserade tolkverktyg i Sverige

I denna intervjustudie undersöks hur några företrädare för den svenska tolkbranschen ser på AI-baserade verktyg för tolkning i offentlig sektor i Sverige. Sju personer verksamma inom tolkbranschen intervjuades i början av 2024 och intervjumaterialet har analyserats tematiskt. Resultatet visar bland annat att intervjupersonerna anser att det finns ganska gott om AI-baserade tolkningsverktyg på marknaden men att dessa troligen inte används i någon större utsträckning. Flera tror att AI-baserad maskintolkning på sikt kommer att ersätta mänskliga tolkar, medan andra tror att de mänskliga tolkarna kommer att finnas kvar i betydande grad
