About

The Cyber-Physical Systems Lab at the Department of ICT and Natural Sciences at NTNU in Ålesund consists mainly of members who are involved with the engineering bachelor programme in Automation (Automation and Intelligent Systems from 2021). Members also contribute to the master programme in Simulation and Visualization, as well as offer courses for continuing and lifelong learning.

Our research mission is driven by the potential for societal advances due to digitalization, automation, robotics, and education (DARE), including Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (IoT), cybernetics, and AI.

We collaborate with regional (but in some cases world-leading) industry partners, including the Blue Maritime Cluster (GCE), Ålesund hospital, and Sunnmøre MR-klinikk.

Inge, our Pepper robot, was cheerfully hosting the opening of theNorwegian Open AI Lab.
