Tolkning på distans – en komplex emergens

Tolkning mellan svenska och svenskt teckenspråk har sedan utbrottet av Covid-19 skett i allt större utsträckning på distans. Distanstolkning utmanar tolkning i det traditionellt fysiska mötet, samt upplevelsen och sättet att interagera vid olika typer av sammankomster. Med hjälp av Rolshovens spatiala triad som teoretisk modell analyseras distanstolkningen utifrån olika sfärer; rumslig sfär, upplevd sfär och representationssfär. Analysen visar att något helt nytt framträder i det distanstolkade mötet – en emergens – vilket påverkar framväxten av nya konventioner, åtskillnad av upplevelse mellan kropp och själ samt utmaningar vid så kallad hybridtolkning. Analysen visar hur Rolshovens spatiala triad kan användas som analysverktyg, vilket kan gynna såväl tolkar som tolkstudenter och tolkutbildningar.
