Let´s disrupt the construction industry and make it more attractive and inclusive!

We are seeking students from diverse backgrounds. In our industry that is with regards to ethnicity, gender, persons with disabilities and or those that identify as LGBTQI. Do you think the construction industry seems exciting? Then this might be interesting for you! Catalysts and Diversitas will launch an 6-month reverse mentoring program, where executives in the construction industry will be matched with students or former students with diverse backgrounds. Diversitas is Norways leading network for diversity and gender balance in the construction industry. The program aims to "Make the construction industry more attractive and inclusive”.

In reverse mentoring, it is you who takes the leadership role and guides the corporate leaders. As a mentor, you get to develop personally and professionally, you will learn about mentoring, communication and leadership. In addition, you get an insight into an exciting company within Diversitas, what it is like to be a leader in the construction industry and how they as an organization work with everything from strategy to diversity management. This can be beneficial when you later apply for a job, whether it is in other organizations or in the construction industry.

Through the program, you receive training in mentoring and strength-based psychology that equips you for the role of mentor. You have 6 structured conversations with your mentee where you explore the topics of strengths, unconscious bias and challenges and goals in diversity. This is a great opportunity for development that can benefit you both further in your career and otherwise. You also get the opportunity to receive tips and guidance from a manager regarding your career. Reverse mentoring promotes inclusion by building relationships between individuals different in age, ethnicity, culture and gender.

Are you a person who is committed and motivated to join in creating change? You should be confident in yourself and willing to share of yourself and your experiences.

The location for the program is Oslo and neighboring regions.
