Payment

The payment per hour is as follow (all values are before taxes):
 Students with high school diploma – 184.40 kr
 Students with bachelor’s degree – 189.40 kr
 Students with master`s degree – 197.40 kr

Main Tasks

Main tasks:
 • Coordinating the arrival of the international students.
 • Contact with the local UDI unit/police regarding        appointments for VISA applications and social security numbers for the international students.
  • Making sure the students get to their student residences after arriving in Gjøvik (typically by bus/train)
  • Answering practical questions about travel, how to get settled in Gjøvik, etc.
  • Presence on the international discord channel
  • Help during the welcoming week (organization, presentations, events)
 
Other tasks might include:
  • Help during other international office events (international day, international café)
  • Collaboration with the local International Student Union (ISU) for the organization and execution of events

Qualifications 

Required Qualifications:
• Fluency in English both written and oral (minimum B2 level on the CEFR scale)
• Student at NTNU Gjøvik
• Minimum 1 year of university studies
 
 Optional Qualifications
 • Knowledge of Norwegian will be a great advantage
 • Other language skills will be an advantage
 • Experience in organizing free-time activities and social events will be an advantage
 • International experiences will be an advantage

 Personal Skills
 • Good communication skills and personal qualities which enables one to work in an international setting
 • Very good intercultural skills: dealing with students from all over the world, with different cultural, linguistic and academic background
