Telenor Trainee Programme 2023/2024

Hurray! The time has finally come. You can apply to Telenor’s Trainee Programme!

We are looking for young people, young professionals, you (yes you!) who have just finished a long journey at studies and are ready to enter the “professional life”. You now have the opportunity to gain experience in one of Norway’s largest (and coolest) tech companies!  

When asking students, 5G, broadband, internet, and mobile phones are all words associated with Telenor, and we agree, all of it plays an important part in our everyday work-life. However, we would like to show you more. 

Telenor will be continuing our digitalization journey. Going forward we will create the best customer journeys and together find new ways of work. Not to mention be number one within the security domain, continue the 5Gadventure and create products that matter to people. This is a job we are not able to do on our own, we need you and we need the courage to change. Do you have the courage to change?

Examples of tasks you can be assigned to are within cyber security, security product development, virtualization of networks, advanced analytics, 5G, artificial intelligence, product innovation, and other high impact initiatives in Telenor. 

We are looking for..

• You who are in your final year of studies or recently finished your masters within technology, security, informatics, engineering, industrial economics and technology management, business, or entrepreneurship studies 
• You who have passion for technical challenges and thrive to develop new insight 
• You who are not afraid to try and fail (we actually encourage you to!) 

This is a graduate position and formal experience is not a requirement. You are here to learn and develop! If you have experience from internships, part-time positions, or other innovation projects this is of course a benefit.

Briefly about the programme..

• This is a 12-month programme consisting of two or three rotations. The position is permanent after the programme. 
• Rotation could be within our companies in Norway, or in one of our foreign operations 
• Candidates must be a resident or hold a valid work permit in Schengen-area. 
• You need to be comfortable with communicating in English and a Scandinavian language  

Some practical details..

• The positions are located at Fornebu, Norway and the Trainee Programme will begin in August 2023. 
• Application deadline is October 25th 2022 
• Final candidates must be available for assessment centre at Fornebu 16th November 2022.  
• Applications sent via email will not be processed 
• Please upload all transcripts/diplomas when you apply – upload it in the field where you upload your CV. Applications without transcripts will not be considered. 
• We conduct background checks of relevant candidates through Semac AS

Expected timeline: 

5.-25.october: Application period 

26-okt-1.nov.: First screening/selection; selected candidates will receive an e-mail where he/she will be asked to complete 2 ability tests (online). 

1-8.november: Second screening; selected candidates will be asked to answer questions using a video solution 

9-16. November: Third screening + assessment centre. Telenor will conduct reference- and background checks on finalist candidates 

December: offers will be extended to selected candidates
