You are our next step!

If you’re an energetic explorer by heart with creative tendencies, a positive mindset and data skills, then this spot is saved for you!

We are looking to materialize and evolve our strategy with fellow data enthusiasts and would like a fun-loving data champion to join us to support our product, sales, leadership and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing data across the proptech landscape. Since our business evolves around data, you can be sure to have a substantial impact on the success of our company.

Your responsibilities:

Using various techniques and technologies in data analysis, statistics and machine learning, you will organise and exploit the value of collected data for our customers. In addition, you will incorporate data from integrated proptech tools that enhance the user engagement and product value for our users to make wise and insight-based decisions. We want you to take your models from prototypes to production. Develop prototypes with the latest AI/ML and big data technologies, help set up the necessary infrastructure, then either write code yourself or guide the appropriate team members to do so in order to deploy it in the cloud.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Develop data-driven aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals.

  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.

  • Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, business strategies and marketing techniques.

  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.

  • Develop custom data models and scalable algorithms to apply to data sets.

  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, and other business outcomes.

  • Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.

  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.

  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production.

Our expectations of you:

The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.

You should have the power to influence by visualizing and communicating complex datasets and causality in an understandable way. Programming, using Python or R will be essential, fluent SQL and a keen interest in databases are considered highly beneficial.

  • You have strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.

  • You are experienced in using statistical computer languages (Python, R, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.

  • You have experience working with and creating data architectures and setting them up in the cloud.

  • You have knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.

  • You have knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.

  • We’re ideally looking for someone with 2+ years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models, has completed or busy completing their Master’s in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field, and is familiar with the following software/tools: Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, Text Mining, Social Network Analysis, etc. Experience using data services: Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, and/or others Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc. Experience analyzing data from 3rd party providers. Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and/or others. Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: PowerBI, Tableau, Sisense, SAP Business Objects, D3, ggplot, and/or others

  • You are comfortable with the concepts of the API Economy and Big Data and have worked on projects that involve integrations with multiple APIs and/or large data sets.

  • You are a great communicator who can successfully discuss your work with any type of listener, regardless of the degree of their technical knowledge.

  • You like to set out detailed and clear expectations of your own work, along with clear time frames.

  • You are curious and future-oriented, interested in technology and trends.

  • You are confident in communicating in English (with a preference if you can also speak Norwegian).
