About the Journal

This journal publishes papers accepted for the Norwegian ICT Conference for Research and Education.

The journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

NIK: Norsk Informatikkonferanse is a national conference that aims to spreadthe knowledge of research and advanced development work in the field of informatics. The conference encourages the submission of papers from various genresand topics within theoretical and applied informatics. NIK welcomes diversityand cross-disciplinary approaches in methodological techniques and applicationareas.

NOKOBIT: Norwegian Conference for Organizations’ Use of IT.

NISK: The aim of the NISK conference series is to be the principal annual research venue in Norway for presenting and discussing developments in the field of ICT security and privacy. We seek to bring together people from universities, industry, and public authorities. We invite both national and international contributions by researchers, practitioners, and PhD- and Master thesis students presenting new problems and solutions within topics on ICT security.

UDIT: The Norwegian conference for education and didactics in IT (UDIT) is a track under the NIKT conference. The UDIT track deals with teaching computer science. Most of the presenters at NIKT are also teachers, and UDIT is meant to facilitate discussion between the staff of all IT departments in Norway on the pedagogical aspect of being a university professor, including teaching, supervision, assessment, etc.
