Focus and scope

Fauna norvegica is an international journal focusing on Nordic fauna. We publish faunistic studies, contributions concerning systematics and taxonomy, biogeography, and biodiversity to describe abundance and distribution of species. Contributions on methodological development, reviews and opinions are welcome. Submitted manuscripts will be considered for publication after peer review. There are no page charges for manuscripts accepted for publication.

All research papers, short communications, opinions and reviews are subjected to peer review. Blind review (single blind) is used. Submissions must not have been previously published or copyrighted, and must not be published subsequently except in abstract form or by written consent of the editor in chief.

Fauna norvegica is indexed in BIOSIS, Biological abstracts, Zoological Record, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Google Scholar, CrossRef, Scopus.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
