About

Literature, Technology and Media is a research group at the Dept. of Language and Literature at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU.

We study literature in order to learn more about how human beings have interacted with technologies and material environments throughout history.

We have a particular focus on 19th century Scandinavian literature, and we engage with this seminal literary period from the combined perspectives of Media Archaeology, Media History, Literary Geography, Infrastructure Studies, and Digital Humanities.

The group was established in 2016. Read more about our research activities here, and read more about our teaching activities here. We facilitate research seminars, reading sessions, and several in-depth classes for our students.
