To get access to all the library databases, go to Use the library databases.
You can search directly in several of the databases through Literature search for students on Innsida, or through Oria.
Access to these resources is usually dependent on you using the NTNU network, or using a VPN.

  • Ei Village – Compendex is one of the most comprehensive technology databases
  • Web of Science (ISI) – Search engine for ISI Web of Science med Science Citation Index Expanded (1945-),Social Sciences Citation Index(1956-) og Arts & Humanities Citation Index (1975-). Også portal for ISI Journal Citation Reports, JCR.
  • SCOPUS – An interdisplinary citation database delivered by Elsevier, focused on the sciences, technology and medicine
  • SpringerLink eContent – A search engine for books and journals from Springer Publishing
  • OnePetro – OnePetro is an online library of technical literature for the oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) industry. Proceedings (ISOPE, OTC) and Journals.
  • ASME DIGITAL COLLECTION – American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Journals and Proceedings (OMAE).
  • IEEE Xplore – resource for discovery of and access to scientific and technical content published by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and its publishing partners.
  • IMO – International Maritime Organization (Ask the library for password/username)
  • Sea Web (Info) : the register of ships and list of shipowners on the internet – log in via Oria)
  • SP ShipBase : vessel information by internet. Printed edition = Illustrert norsk skipsliste. (Ask the library for password/username)
  • ShipPax database (Ask the library for password/username)
  • Standard.no – fulltext access to active standards; NS, NEK (IEC), ISO, and certain NORSOK standards. https://innsida.ntnu.no/wiki/-/wiki/English/Standards.

  • DNV GL Rules & Standards  Oil & Gas: To activate your account, please go to the link : https://services.veracity.com/forgotpassword and enter your  email addresse and then you will be able to accept legal terms of the platform and create a password for your account. You will get access as soon as the affiliation requests is accepted.
