Thesis at NTNU is 30 ECTS but 24 at TUB. For administrative purposes SESAM students writing their thesis at TUB  will sign up at both universities for the thesis.

 To align the thesis periods, for students writing at TUB we do not apply the standard NTNU thesis registration deadline of 15 January. We apply a flexible start date and a six month period, the same dates at both universities. (However, preferable start April 1st.)

When starting the master thesis you will prepare a thesis agreement. 

  1. Register your master agreement in SharePoint,  it will be digitally signed
  2. Master agreement is individual, and everyone completes their own agreement. In the agreement you register your master partner if you co-write your thesis.  Also list your (if any) cooperation with an organization
  3. Courses: leave the field open, your courses are regulated by your education plan

Program code is MSSE, and the subject code is TIØ4980

You are not able to save a draft version and it is not possible to change submitted information. If this would be necessary you have to write a new agreement.

If you write your thesis with a company outside of Norway, postcode and registration number do not work properly. Provide name and contact details of the company supervisor instead

You do not have to include any courses, they are automatically included via your education plan

Project description: 100-200 words should be enough. Clear indication of research setting and scope and research objective(s). Discuss with your supervisors before submitting. 

When you submit the agreement will go to the supervisor who has to approve the agreement for me to see it.
