About HydroD

HydroD is a hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analysis tool which can operate both in the frequency and time domains. Typical applications are load calculations, stability assessment and rule checking of offshore structures. It can handle fixed and floating structures, and the physical model used in the calculations might be imported from GeniE to save modelling time if both hydrodynamic and structural calculations are to be done.

How to download and install HydroD

Download and licencing information is the same as for other Sesam software, and is described at the page DNV.

There are two different versions of HydroD available, HydroD V4 and HydroD V5. Note that HydroD V5 is a completely new version of HydroD, instead of an upgrade of V4.




Getting started with HydroD

  • HydroD V4 & V5: DNV GL has provided a good user manual as a part of the HydroD installation. These can be accessed within HydroD from "Help → Help Topics/User Manual".
