• Unknown User (garaq)

• Javier Tejedor

• Tor Egil Melgard
• Oernulf Ole Oerpen

Context

• Follow-up of our conversation in the 4S symposium
• Fugro is working on a SDR-based demodulator for a space-based application related to high-accuracy navigation in LEO orbit

• There are probably some synergies with Fugro's project and potential cooperation in this field

Minutes

FUGRO

• Surveillance, geophysics,...
• G4 is a high accuracy positioning system (in the order of cm).
  • Commercial product
  • Next steps: to build it for LEO satellites (SpaceStar)
• SpaceStar
  • Will collect data from all GNSS stations
  • Satellite architecture
    • L-band demodulator
      • Front-end for L-band signals + GomSpace SDR (3 NanoCom + 1 NanoMind)
      • RX: 23 dBV
      • Baud rate: 600-1200
      • BPSK
      • Omnidirectional antenna
    • GNSS antenna
    • GNSS receiver
    • Fugro software
  • Part of ESA project
    • Partners: Deimos, GomSpace (SDR), University of Notthinggham (GNSS simulator)
    • 1 year left
    • Funding from Norsk Romsenter (følgemidler)
    • Opportunities 2019/2020¨
    • In February 2018: started to get familiar with SDR, signal acquisition and demodulation in GNURadio
    • In the future they want to have the software embedded and in the FPGA

DISCUSSION

• Fugro asked if we have SDR competence to help them
  • They will receive GomSpace SDR in a couple of months, or maybe in August.
• Torbjørn suggested that we could fly GomSpace SDR on our mission to test it
• What would be needed to get attitude determination with their system (to avoid star trackers)?
  • Probably 3 antennas
• Passive Reflectometry and Dosimetry (PRETTY)

  • GNSS Reflectometry in 3U
  • Tor Arne knows more?
• NAVIS2
  • Navigation programme from ESA
  • Initiative for both industry and university
  • Maybe we could take part in it
• Fugro & SpaceNorway are working together for an IOD mission
