The purpose of the experiment was to give an imagined group of seven psychiatric patients the best possible environment for their therapy, a place where they could communicate with each other. Being aware of their individual needs, we wanted to find an open form offering individual freedom as well as "belonging".

In the first attempt, a circle of separate seats was developed into a more open square form of benches which join the walls in the same way as in the previous room. The corners invite patiens to adopt alternative positions, and it is also possible to lie down. The corner next to the window is a good place for anyone who wants to take a break from the discussions.

In our choice of materials and dimensions we aimed at obtaining a warm atmosphere as well as intimacy.
