The examples demonstrate how the effect of the protruding form is gradually transformed by the surface treatment. In Fig. 1 the effect of the protrusion is maximized. In Fig. 2 the perception of the form as a separate unit is reduced. In Figs. 3-5 the form is integrated in the wall which is now perceived as an addition of a positive and a negative volume. |
