Light through the open structure reveals the coming and going of the day. Supplemented by artificial light, the protruding and receding verticals are lit by daylight in changing hues which play with the candlelight in the centre. On entering, glimpses of flickering flames are visible through an opening in the middle of the partition separating the spaces. Light is let in to the relatively dark anteroom from both sides of the wall creating an atmosphere of expectation and wonder. What lies beyond?
