CenSES annual conference
Around 80 participants, a mix of CenSES user partners
and researchers, attended the CenSES annual confer-
ence December 9-10 2013. There were 25 presenta-
tions covering topics such as:

Energy use in households
•
Public engagement
•
The energy system of the future
•
Energy demand in Norway
•
Norway´s role in Europe
•
Energy policy studies.
A majority of the presentations at the conference
were CenSES PhD students or PhD students from re-
lated projects presenting their research results.
Jonas Egerer from DIW Berlin and TU Berlin was a visit-
ing researcher at NTNU at the time, and also presented
his perspectives on European energy markets.
Knut H. Sørensen from NTNU summarized many years
of studies on how researchers communicate with the
public and the result, in general concluding that the
the Norwegian public is positive towards renewable
energy.
Tor Ivar Eikaas from the research council presented
possibilities in Horizon 2020.
