Abstract

In this work a systematic study on the influence of relative humidity on the charge decay of high-temperature-vulcanized flat silicone rubber samples is carried out by means of contactless measurements of the surface potential. Both virgin and aged (by a long-term corona treatment) samples were used for the experiments. Temporal and spatial variations of the potential were monitored during the charge decay process. The analysis of the results indicated that the charge decay becomes faster due
