Spekeskinker laget av iberiske griser som fetes opp på eikenøtter i skogsbeiter er en delikatesse som konsumeres over hele verden. «The making of pasturing pigs» er et forskningsprosjekt ved Institutt for geografi og sosialantropologi, NTNU, som fokuserer på kulturelle dimensjoner av griseholdet og spekeindustrien i Badajoz, Spania. Prosjektet følger produksjonen fra «jord til bord»; fra grisene blir født og gjetes i skogsbeiter til de slaktes, spekes og konsumeres. 

Cured hams made from Iberian pigs that are fattened on acorns in forest pastures are a delicacy consumed worldwide. ‘The making of pasturing pigs’ is a research project at the Department of Geography and Social Anthropology, NTNU, focusing on the cultural dimensions of pig farming and the curing industry in Badajoz, Spain. The film follows the production from ‘farm to fork; from the birth of the pigs and their roaming in the forest pastures to slaughter, curing, and consumption.

El jamón Iberico de bellota es una delicia consumida en todo el mundo. “La cría de cerdos en pastoreo” es un proyecto de investigación del Departamento de Geografía y Antropología Social, que se centra en las dimensiones culturales de la cría de cerdos y la industria del curado en Badajoz, España. La película sigue la producción desde “la granja hasta la mesa”; desde el nacimiento de los cerdos y su pastoreo la dehesa hasta su sacrificio, curado y consumo
