The Rona has definitely  changed our everyday life and has put the "Summer of our lifetime" on hold for many students. Allente is dedicating this summer to young aspiring professionals by creating its very first Summer Internship program to kick-start students' careers.

About Allente Nordic 

Allente is a Nordic TV operator, providing top quality TV services to its appr. 1.2 million customers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. The company was established in May 2020 after a merger between Canal Digital and Viasat Consumer. 

Tech/ Software (1 vacant internship)

Do you love watching series, movies, TV programs, or sport? Do you want to develop a brand new component and have ownership of a project?

Allente Nordic is now looking for a summer intern for their tech department. We want to establish a new component with a web-based user interface to ease differents internal tasks in Allente.

This component will have to integrate with multiple existing systems via REST/SOAP, DB/JDBC, and other protocols and technologies 

There are mainly two areas of use we are looking at to start with. 

• Find and control test data and "lock" these data for a period of time so multiple people don't experience getting the same data.  
• Simplify troubleshooting of a single-client error in production. This can be for example to look up detailed status in different client systems and monitoring systems and check the data against known patterns. This will both ease up the work for 3rd line-support and create the basis for further automation of improvement for troubleshooting. 

UX/UI (1 vacant internship )

Are you organized, empathetic, and a critical thinker? Do you love watching movies and original series on your mobile, web, and streaming TV platforms? Do you have a passion for User Experience Research? If so, Allente is looking for an UX Intern to help us in our mission of creating world-class TV/streaming solutions.

Key Responsibilities and duties

• Plan a research topic on TV/ streaming with the customer journey and UX team and be responsible for implementing, analyzing, and sharing research results with the company 
• Develop a domain knowledge and an understanding of our users and their goals and behaviors 
• Plan research strategies and conduct various research activities 
• Gather qualitative and quantitative data, analyze findings and contribute with actionable insights
• UI design optimization for our apps 

Qualifications

• Have an understanding of general user experience research methods and techniques 
• Know the process of conducting a research study (design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, and storytelling) 
• Have good analytical, social, communication, and presentation skills 
• Used to design tools (Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop) 

Should be pursuing a degree in Human-Computer Interaction or any UX related design field.

Last year of bachelors ++

Creative Team Marketing (2 vacant internships)

Do you love watching series, movies, TV programs, or sport? Do you want to work with designing creative communication for all our Social Media platforms? The marketing team in Allente is looking for two creatives team members that can help us lift and raise our presence on all our social media channels and take it to next level. 

At the end of summer, we would like you to help us launch our new exiting Corporate Social Responsibility program throughout our social media channels in an engaging way. We just recently launched a new website and you will be given full freedom to come with new ideas and adjustments, how cool is that? 

Key Responsibilities and duties

• Contribute by creating ideas and content development to promote our new brand 
• Create content for our social media channels, creating and implementing a social media takeover  
• Make engaging videos for use on all our social media platforms
• Contribute to idea creation and content development to lift our emerging CSR 
• CH is the hot new social app for the moment, look at our potential on Clubhouse 
• Web optimization with a focus on SEO and photos  
• Photography (there will be some photo work)  

Qualifications

• Student or graduate within AD, graphic design, creator, copywriter 
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud 
• Advantage if you know EPI 
• Great if you have some experience with photography and film 

Content Curations and Marketing (1 vacant internship) 

Do you love watching series, movies, TV programs, or sport? Do you want to work with giving great recommendations to Allente's clients? Brand & Marketing is looking for a summer intern that can help us give good recommendations based on data to Allente's streaming clients and other channels. 

We have a new service in the market that we want our intern to have full responsibility for throughout the summer and also contribute to existing services. In addition to tasks linked to recommendations, you will assist with a market, segment, and competitor analysis that will provide us with valuable insight into how to grow our product further. 

Key Responsibilities and duties 

• Contribute with which titles to recommend our clients, based on data collected throughout the summer. Find what`s new and hidden "Gem" series  
• Contribute with subjects and ideas to create great titles and inspire our customers 
• Configure in our systems so the titles are visible for our clients in the app and or TV-box  
• Analyze and come with ideas and new ways on how we should recommend our content (series, movies, TV programs, sport)  
• Analyze and suggest how we should communicate our content (series, movies, TV -programs, sport) in different channels shortly (mail, push-notification, in the app and on our websites)  
• Assist with competitor and segment analyses
• Assist with the preparations of launching the new product in multiple countries 

Qualifications

• Bachelor in economy/ marketing. Students starting on their master degree withing marketing preferred 
• Interest in TV programs, series, and movies  

Timeframe of the internships

From the middle of June to the middle of August 8 weeks total with 2 weeks vacations.
