Øya: Skrivepress – structured time for writing

“Skrivepress” is structured time for writing, based on the concept Shut Up & Write. Bring your article, thesis, book draft, or whatever you are working on.

We will work together in silence for 45 minutes, before an alarm signals a break. After 15 minutes’ break, we do a second 45-minutes session of silent writing.

How does it work?
“Skrivepress” has a set of few, but strict rules. During the writing sessions, you are not allowed to talk, walk around, use your phone or be on social media. (You can do all this during the break.) You are allowed to eat (silently) and listen to music through headphones. You can participate in both or only one of the sessions, but you can only enter or leave the room during the break.

Tuesdays 9.15-11.00
KG32 (Atlas), Floor 3 in the library (the Knowledge centre)
Starting 15 January

NB: We offer an extra session of Skrivepress Thursday 28 February 16-17 as part of the Writers Evening.

You don’t have to sign up. We serve tea and coffee.
