Litteraturvitenskapelige Open Access-tidsskrifter på Open Library of Humanities

NTNU Universitetsbiblioteket er med på å støtte Open Access-plattformen Open Library of Humanities, som for tiden huser 20 tidsskrifter innen humaniora. Alle disse har dobbel blind fagfellevurdering.

Flere av disse tidsskriftene er relevante for litteraturvitere, og det kan være interessant for ISLs forskere å vurdere disse for egne publikasjoner. Slik NTNUs publiseringspolitikk 2014–2020 slår fast skal «vitenskapelige publikasjoner fra NTNUs forskere [som hovedregel] publiseres […] åpent (Open Access)». Å publisere i rene Open Access-tidsskrifter, slik OLHs titler er, utgjør én av flere måter å oppnå dette målet på.

For at det skal være attraktivt å publisere i et OA-tidsskrift, er det for forskere ved norske institusjoner viktig at det aktuelle tidsskriftet er registrert på nivå 1 eller 2 i NSDs nasjonale registeret over vitenskapelige publiseringskanaler. Noen av titlene i OLH (se nedenfor) er inkludert i registeret, mens andre ennå ikke er blitt meldt inn. For at det skal finnes gode muligheter for åpen publisering, er det viktig at forskerne selv bidrar til å melde inn aktuelle tidsskrifter. Slik innmelding kan gjøres her.

På sikt vil det også kunne bli aktuelt å foreslå enkelte tidsskrifter inn på nivå 2.

I en særstilling står tidsskriftet med samme navn som plattformen, Open Library of HumanitiesDet er bygd som en såkalt ‘megajournal’, etter modell av det prestisjetunge, naturvitenskapelige PlosOneOpen Library of Humanities publiserer tverrfaglig humanistisk forskning, også på andre språk enn engelsk, og er på nivå 1 i NSDs register.

‘19 is an open access, scholarly, peer-reviewed online journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary study in the long nineteenth century’.

C21 Literature: Journal of 21st-Century Writings (ennå ikke i NSD)

‘C21 Literature: Journal of 21st-century Writings is the journal of the British Association for Contemporary Literary Studies (BACLS). The journal is dedicated to examining the genres, forms of publication, and circulation of 21st-century writings. C21 Literature is a logical development of the explosion of interest in 21st-century writings, seen in book groups, university courses, and the development of online publishing’.

 

 

Digital Studies / Le champ numérique (ennå ikke i NSD)

‘Digital Studies / Le champ numérique is a refereed academic journal serving as a formal arena for scholarly activity and as an academic resource for researchers in the digital humanities. Submissions to DSCN focus on the intersection of technology and humanities research. Articles on the application of technology to cultural, historical, and social problems, on the societal and institutional context of such applications, and the history and development of the field of Digital Humanities. Submissions focussing on issues of the practice of the Digital Humanities in a global, multi-cultural, or multi-lingual context are particularly encouraged’.

 

Comics Grid (Ennå Iikke på nivå 1 eller 2)

‘The journal aims to make original contributions to the field of comics studies and to advance the appreciation of graphic narrative. We aim to promote comics scholarship within academia and the general public with contributions that present specialised knowledge in an accessible language. As a publishing platform we encourage digital research, public engagement and collaboration’.

 

 

 

International Journal of Welsh Writing in English (Nivå 1)

 

 

‘The International Journal of Welsh Writing in English is the premier journal for current research on Welsh literature in the English language, Welsh drama and performance in English, translation, cultural studies and related areas’.

 

 

 

Journal of British and Irish Innovative Poetry (nivå 1)

‘The Journal of British and Irish Innovative Poetry centres on the poetic writings that have appeared in Britain and Ireland since the late 1950s under various categorizations. These include works that are avant-garde, underground, linguistically innovative, second-wave Modernist, non-mainstream, the British Poetry Revival, the parallel tradition, formally innovative, neo-modernist and experimental, while also including the Cambridge School, the London School, concrete poetry, and performance writing. All of these terms have been variously adopted and contested in anthologies and the journal extends scholarly discussion of the ongoing importance of innovative poetic styles and techniques within British and Irish literature’.

Orbit: A Journal of American Literature (ennå ikke i NSD)

‘Orbit is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal of contemporary American fiction from the second half of the twentieth century to the present. We publish special and general issues in a rolling format, which brings together a traditional journal article style with the latest publishing technology to ensure faster, yet prestigious, publication for authors’.
