Today, June 13, 2019, center member Hanne Nissen Bjørnsen defended her doctoral thesis «Promoting Adolescent Mental Health – Positive Mental Health Literacy as a Concept and Working Strategy for School Health Services» at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
A part of this work was the development and validation of an instrument measuring positive mental health literacy (MHPK-10). This measure has gained interest and is currently being applied in studies in 12 countries around the world.
The candidate’s supervisors was Associate Professor Dr. Unni Karin Moksnes, Associate Professor Dr. Mary-Elizabeth Eilertsen and Professor Geir Arild Espnes, all from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
