«Being Salmon, Being Human» looks at the relationship between people and salmon—weaving together the wonderful epic journey of the wild salmon with key stories from the Norwegian salmon industry. We also hear tales from the indigenous cultures of the Sami and the Pacific Northwest.
The performance is based on the Phd of Dr. Martin Lee Mueller. Martin performs alongside prize-winning storyteller Georgiana Keable and world class Sami composer Torgeir Vassvik on joik and soundscapes.
The performance is presented by NTNU Oceans.
Fortellerhuset (The Storytelling House) is the longest running professional storytelling group in Norway. We have focussed on cultural diversity in storytelling since our formation in 2003.
