I'm a freshwater ecologist currently completing my PhD thesis. My work looks at the combined effects of climate change and biological invasions on freshwater fish communities. I hope to determine where range-shifting species will be able to expand to in the near future, how rising temperatures will affect this expansion, and what the effects of this expansion will be on the local species.

I also have a background in ecosociology, and have engaged in qualitative work looking at contrasting perceptions of climate change in the role of biological invasions in Norway.

I run the website Ecology for the Masses and the podcast Cinematica Animalia.

I have taught Biogeography, Sustainable Management of Ecosystem Services and R for Beginners at a Master's level.
