  • Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aarhus University, Aarhus, Denmark, 2012.
  • Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE) since 2016.
  • Senior Visiting Fellow at the University of New South Wales, UNSW Canberra, Australia, 15 Nov. 2017 to 15 Feb. 2018.

Work experience:
From March 2011 to December 2012 Ibrahim Hameed has been working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Industrial Electronics and Control Engineering, Menofia University, Egypt.
He then joined the Department of Electronic Systems at Aalborg University, Denmark as a Postdoc at the section of Automation and Control in the period from January 2013 to August 2014 and at section of Signal and Information Processing in the period from September 2014 to May 2015.
From May 2015 to present Ibrahim Hameed works as an Associate Professor at the Dept. of ICT and Natural Sciences at NTNU in Ålesund.

 Research interest:

His main research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Control Engineering, Field Robotics, Social Robots, and optimization. He is an author/coauthor of more than 75 publications in international journals, conferences and book chapters and a reviewer for a number of international journals and conferences.
