Ben Toscher er stipendiat ved Norges Teknisk-naturligvitenskapelige Universitet. Han er knyttet til SFU Engage, et senter for fremragende utdanning. Senteret er dedikert til engasjert utdanning gjemmon entrepenørskap. Ben forsker inni entreprenøriell læringsprosseser og entreprenørskapsutdanning i musikk og kunst utdanningskontekster. Hans forskning har blitt publisert i internasjonale fagfellevurdert publiseringskanaler, blant annet Artivate: A Journal of Entrepreneurship in the Arts, The Journal of Arts Management, Law, and Society, The International Journal of Education and the Arts, og Social Enterprise Journal.
