Abigail Linton
Om
My research interests lie in algebraic topology, combinatorics and unstable homotopy theory. I currently organise the Geometry & Topology seminar - let me know if you have speaker suggestions or would like to give a talk!
In Autumn 2021 I am lecturing MA3402 Differential Forms on Manifolds. If any Bachelor students would like to chat about potential projects we could work on together, just get in touch!
I love finding ways to get involved with mathematical outreach: talking with children, families and adults about fun and accessible sides to maths that they may not have discovered before. I was formerly an EPSRC Doctoral Prize Senior Research Assistant at the University of Southampton, UK, where I also completed my PhD with Jelena Grbić. You may find a summary of my PhD research in the May 2020 edition of the London Mathematical Society newsletter. Prior to my PhD, I worked in software/technology consultancy at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence. I received my MMath from the University of Warwick, UK.
