Due to preparations for a new exhibition the NTNU Museum of Natural History and Archeology will have limited access between April 10th and May 9th.

Only exhibitions on the ground floor and the exhibition "Urbane dyr" will be available during the period, as well as "Medieval Trondheim". All planned education will run as normal. Opening hours are the same as usually during this period.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and welcome you back to our new exhibition "Afghanistan – Hidden Treasures" on May 10th.

Exhibitions

The Museum of Natural History and Archaeology arranges exhibitions on natural science, archaeology and cultural history.

Opening May 2012: Afghanistan - Hidden treasures

In our exhibitions, you may take a closer look at testimonies of Mid-Norway's prehistory, or wander into Medieval Trondheim with narrow passages and houses.

The exhibition "Church Furniture and Fittings and Church Art", mainly from the pre-reformation Catholic period, is also worth a visit.

One of our most popular scientific exhibitions is called "Nature and the Environment".

In 2010, we opened the jubilee exhibition "Knowledge Alarm", one of the museum's largest dissemination efforts for several decades.

Our exhibitions are aimed at families, schools and tourists, and whether you seek knowledge or adventure, you will find what you are looking for with us.
