Software tools for managing your references

When writing large assignments with multiple literature references, a reference tool can be a useful thing.

With a reference tool you are able to create your personal library with references you will need in your assignment. You can import the references from reference databases or manually register them in your library.

While writing a document, you can put references from your library into the document. The reference tool will make sure that the format is right and adapted to the reference style of your choice.

EndNote

Several reference tools for managing your references exist on the market. NTNU has a site licence for EndNote and Reference Manager. That means that students at NTNU are able to install these programs on their own computers for free. NTNU IT Helpdesk has more information about gaining access.
