In this module you will learn how to search for and obtain the books you need for your studies.

Using academic books in your studies is important because they provide both perspective and depth within any subject. A chapter from a book can be precisely what you need when writing a short paper or giving an oral presentation.

Please note: Writing and publishing books take time, so do not expect to find material from the last six months there.

Use books:

• When you need a lot of information about a subject, person or event
• To place your topic within a bigger picture
• To learn how your topic has been dealt with by other researchers

Most books are printed on paper, but a growing number are also published in electronic full-texts on the web in as e-books.
