This master's programme is conducted entirely in English.
Erasmus Mundus
As of 2007 we are one of the partners in an Erasmus-Mundus Master programme named The Erasmus Mundus Master in Coastal and Marine Engineering and Management (CoMEM). Five European universities participate. See the CoMEM website for more information.
Arctic studies
A close cooperation with the University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS) allows students to further specialize in the the field of Arctic Marine Civil Engineering by taking parts of their studies at UNIS in Longyearbyen.
Staff & facilities
Our laboratory facilities for hydrotechnical studies include two wave flumes, both equipped with random wave generators. The academic staff work extensively with with important actors in the industry and public administration, and can boast a broad international network, and a number of international research projects.

If you are anticipating a period of study in Norway, we think this background information worthwhile. The following sources should provide some insight concerning both the country and the people.
The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is the only university in Norway providing a complete range of advanced engineering education programmes. Together with the traditional university study areas, this creates a unique interdisciplinary learning environment.
NTNU has around 20 000 students, of which about 8000 are studying engineering. Civil and Environmental Engineering has about 700 students. The engineering campus is conveniently located within walking distance from the downtown area.
