The quality assurance system

NTNU is to offer challenging and high-quality study programmes and a learning environment subject to continuous development and improvement. The improvement programme is based on involvement and interaction between the teaching staff, students, management and administration. The improvement programme is based on

NTNU's system for quality assurance of education was approved by NOKUT on 13 December 2006.

Each semester, in collaboration with Studenttinget (the student assembly), the Student and Academic Division organizes a student seminar on education quality. The seminar is open to all, but is primarily intended for students who are to be involved in reference groups.

NTNU has developed a quality support system for education and learning (KVASS) . This provides the staff with easy access to the necessary information and useful tools for planning and carrying out teaching, supervision, assessment, and evaluation.

KVASS has three alternative entry points:

• Annual cycle: Scheduling of important duties during the year
