Faglig innhold

Candidates who have been admitted to the MA programme in European Studies have the opportunity to replace a specified amount of course work with a relevant internship of their choice, pending approval of the supervising lecturer of the European studies programme. The purpose is to allow candidates to acquire a practical work experience and to develop awareness of proper knowledge and skills and of how these can be applied in a professional setting. Subsequent to the internship, the candidate is required to submit a report (2500-3000 words). The report shall include a description of the internship in question and discuss the relationship between the student's formal training and her/his practical work experience. The focus should be on relevance, challenges, benefits and recommendations.
