Lars Jørun Langøien will defend the Ph.D. degree at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Department of Social Anthropology. The title of the thesis is:
"Pay attention – listen to your heart!" Unfolding practice, change realities and awareness of the embodied self in Ashtanga yoga
The Faculty for Social Sciences and Technology Management has appointed the following committee to evaluate the dissertation:
- Associate Professor Sara Strauss, Department of Anthropolgy, University of Wyoming
- Associate Professor Kathinka Frøystad, Department of Social Anthropology University of Bergen
- Associate Professor Harald Aspen, Department of Social Anthropology, NTNU
Associate professor Harald Aspen has also administered the committee's work.
The trial lecture will be held Monday 10th of June 2013 in auditorium DL31 at Låven, Dragvoll at 10:15 on the following topic:

The defence will also be held Monday 10th of June 2013 in auditorium DL31, at Låven, Dragvoll at 12:30. Both the trial lecture and the defense are open to all who are interested.
The candidate's supervisor has been Professor Stein Erik Johansen.
