Energy and Petroleum - Resources and Environment (EP-RM)
Energy and Petroleum - Resources and Environment (EP-RM) is one of six Strategic Research Areas at NTNU. NTNU seeks to strengthen the knowledge base for sustainable production and consumption of energy.

Turbine wheelTechnology for a cleaner future NTNU is engaged in improving knowledge about sustainable production and the consumption of energy. Knowledge about new sources of renewable energy and energy carriers is particularly important.

We are working on new solutions involving solar energy, windpower, biofuels, heat pumps and hydrogen. Other focus areas are smart buildings and the production of natural gas without CO2 emissions. We also need to find out how to apply and use these new solutions.

At this site In the left column, you will find information on central research activities within the field of energy research at NTNU.

At the right, we present news stories from the exiting world of science at NTNU and SINTEF.
