Både vitenskapelig og administrativt ansatte møter daglig språklige utfordringer i møte med internasjonale forskere og studenter. Dette kurset har som mål å øke den muntlige engelske språkkompetansen, både med hensyn til vokabular og intonasjon/uttale. Det dreier seg om å bruke engelsk på en ubesværet måte, høflig og korrekt dagligtale, konversasjon, variert språkbruk, delta i improviserte samtaler og diskusjoner, holde presentasjoner, håndtere spontane innlegg og uventede språksituasjoner. Kurset gir i tillegg gode tips om nyttige webbaserte hjelpemidler. |  |
| Academic Writing Workshop with focus on English usage (Feb 2013) | |
This is a two-day course for PhD candidates, researchers and post docs. As the focus is on the use of English for academic writing, this course will be relevant for all disciplines at NTNU. The course will be structured as a workshop so active participation is expected. There will also be time each day for individual discussion of edited texts submitted by participants before the course.
As the use of web resources is central, participants should bring a laptop or tablet. The workshop will be held in English. |  |
