Excursions

The symposium excursion will be held over 2 days. Excursion 1 is open to all. Excursion 2 is open to a limited number of participants. Further details will be posted on the website prior to registration.

Excursion 1
We depart Trondheim and travel by bus to the town of Oppdal. This excursion involves a guided tour focusing on specific aspects of the area’s special prehistory and ecology. The cost of this excursion is included in the registration fee.

Excursion 2
Following an overnight stay at Oppdal, on excursion 2 we will visit a couple of classic snow patches in the Eastern Mountains of Oppdal. This excursion involves an early start and a 2-3 hour hike to the sites. We return to Trondheim in the evening by bus. This excursion is limited to 20 participants. There will also be an additional fee.
