Listen to the house sparrow.
Published april, 2012
Researchers at NTNU's Centre for Conservation Biology (CCB) have studied large populations of house sparrows for a long time to determine how species adapt to a changing environment.
The goal is to understand how ecological processes – such as climate change – affect evolutionary changes in sparrows. CCB has now become an international centre for the analysis of evolutionary ecology data. The Centre recently received a NOK 20 million grant from the EU to study these issues in a variety of animal species all over the world.
