Main types of fuelcells

These are the main types of fuel cell, classified according to their typical working temperatures:

The research groups at the NTH Department of Electrochemistry and SINTEF Group for Electrochemical Energy Technology are concentrating on solid-oxide cells. Much of this research is being done in collaboration with other Scandinavian universities, colleges and institutes within the "Nordic Energy Research Programme," and in collaboration with the Research Council of Norway and the Ministry of Industry and Energy. A project group at NTH´s Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering is working with polymer cells.
