To reduce the negative environmental effects of road construction and traffic it is important to consider all phases of projects. In this workpackage the construction phase (use of local materials), the maintenance phase (snow removal on bridges with combination of traditional methods and heating) and the influence of geometrical design on emision of CO2 are studied in the projects that are started.
