Tashiro Group

Our work mainly focuses on the function of hippocampus circuitry through a multi-disciplinary approach combining virus mediated genetical manipulation, optical stimulation and multi-unit recording techniques in behaving rodents.

Our group is particularly interested in understanding the function of adult dentate neurogenesis as well as the cellular mechanisms underlying place cell activities.

We are currently funded by the European Research Council, James S. McDonnell Foundation and Human Frontier Science Program Long-Term Fellowship.
