Petter is currently employed as a postdoctoral researcher in the structural dynamics group at the Department of Structural Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU. His main task is to investigate the structural dynamics of railway catenary systems and the pantograph-catenary interaction. This is in continuation of his PhD thesis. His research activity includes both numerical analyses and field studies.
Petter’s research interest include: structural dynamics, dynamics of railway catenary systems, structural monitoring, operational modal analysis, finite element modelling, amongst others.
Petter's main objectives are to increase the knowledge about the dynamic behaviour of the pantograph-catenary interaction and to optimize parameters for a better performance of the interaction.
