Research interests: Theoretical linguistics, Syntax, Scandinavian languages, Japanese, nominalizations, adpositions, argument structure, clause structure

I have worked on various aspects of Japanese syntax, including wh-movement, postpositions, modality, voice and other topics. In March 2010 I defended my thesis entitled The Postpositional hierarchy and its mapping to clause structure in Japanese.  My thesis explores the word order of postpositional modifiers and the structural positions of the postpositional modifiers in clause structure. You can down load my thesis here.

Currently I'm working on topics including adverbials and nominal structure in a cross-linguistic perspective.
