BEV offers studies in human physical activity in daily life, at work, and in leisure. Studies combine and integrate social scientific and natural scientific aspects of physical activity. Skills and factors that influence performance capacity are explained and understood through theories based on research methods and results. Studies aim at giving students a sound basis for practical, theoretical, and scientific work within sports, health and movement sciences.
In movement and sports science, students will receive basic courses in sport psychology, motor control, physiology, anatomy, and biomechanics. In addition, courses are offered in physical activity and health, physical education (in collaboration with Sør-Trøndelag University College), research methods, and use of laboratory equipment in testing and research. Master courses deepen theories and methods in movement science, as well as their application in training, learning and development, movement analysis and (re)habilitation, top-level athletics, and physical activity and health.
